Immunoreactive study of pancreatic islet of pancreas in Spontaneous Hypertension Rat fetuses and neonates

Abstract
|
|
|
We investigated the endocrine islet in the pancreas of the Spontaneous Hypertension Rat fetus and neonate from the 15th day of the gestation to the 3th day after birth by immunoreactive study.
1. Immunoreactive cells to the insulin and glucagon were observed from the 17th day of gestations and somatostatin immunoreactive cells were observed from the 19th day of gestations.
2. Insulin and glucagon immunoreactive cells were mainly located in the central and peripheral area, but the somatostatin immunoreactive cells were located only in the peripheral area.
3. Immunoreactive cells were observed large number in insulin, middle in glucagon and less in somatostatin.
